The Learners' Village/ SVLTI

Fulfilling Aspiration and Dreams


The Vision

learners-villageSiloamXperience Outreach Limited (SOL) is proud to be the main sponsor of The Learners’ Village. Learners' Village is meant to be a place of sustainable change where innovation, learning and equipping of skills happen. It has been used interchangeably with Siloam Institute, a vocational and life skills training institute (SVLTI) to equip Cambodian youths and women with employable skills. We are working closely with a local NGO, Siloam Mission & Development Cambodia Organisation (SMDCO) in the school building and are targeting to enrol 200 students per year. 

Located in Toul Damnak Village, Chong Dong Commune, Baray District of Kampong Thom Province, The Learners' Village will reach more than 20 villages in the vicinity, consisting of 6000 to 7000 households with over 20,000 people, including children and youth. It seeks to empower them to break free from the poverty cycle and inspire them to dream of a better future for themselves and their future generations.

SVLTI is slated to open in 2027, and will offer programs in:  

  • Hospitality & Tourism 
  • Food and Beverage Preparation
  • Beauty & Personal Wellness
  • Business & Retail
  • Facilities & Event Management

It will also comprise of facilities that serve as learning labs for students to experience hands-on learning. The learning labs include:

  • Guesthouse
  • Cafeteria
  • Multipurpose Hall
  • Retail Space 

This vision is becoming reality.

In 2014, we acquired 1.4-hectares of land in 2014. Over the following two years, the site was prepared and levelled with soil.

Construction started on 30 March 2026, and the Learners' Village is taking shape, while our activities continue on site.

While SVLTI is being built, we are already using the site to create opportunities for learning, training, community engagement and practical skills development.

We currently use this space for youth programs and classes (English, leadership, computer skills) to be run before the SVLTI is built.

Four Square Farm

Created as a training ground for locals to learn about Four Square Farming, to create food security for the locals.

Food Kiosk

Started in April 2026 as a test bed and training ground for local volunteers and staff to reach out to youth through food and drink.

SVLTI

Construction of the Siloam Vocational and Life skills Training Institute has started in 30 March 2026 and we are progressing in Phases and Stages!

The vision is becoming a reality. Construction of SVLTI is underway, and every step brings us closer to opening a place where young people and women can gain practical skills, discover opportunities and build brighter futures. Now, we need partners to help us take this project across the finish line.
